El Mecanico Truck & Auto opened its doors on March 1st, 2009 in Livermore, CA. It is a family-owned business that was started by two brothers, Eliseo and Frelic Tapis. 

Why “El Mecanico”?
Eliseo and Frelic immigrated to Livermore, CA from Mexico. They promptly saw the need of having a mechanic shop in which the Latino community could bring their cars without having to worry about a language barrier. 
The shop opened with only two bays and two workers. The business has now expanded to five bays and a much larger staff. El Mecanico Truck & Auto has become an establishment that has served the Livermore community for the past 10 years with its mission to “Provide an honest and high-quality service to our community.”
